If you mean the 'cluster' of beetroot seed, yes. It's a bit smaller than a grape pip.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

DD, that's what mine looked like when they'd germinated, but then they went all floppy and fell over, and never got any bigger.


(I know these are Spring Onions, but I don't have any photos of my leeks, and the SOs did the same thing anyway!)

I did think that maybe the tray wasn't deep enough, but it wasn't much shallower than a kitty litter tray. When should they be pricked out into modules or bigger pots (if at all?). They were just like a skinny blade of grass.... :oops:

I don't prick mine out, hence the 1" spacing to begin with, spring onions, I sow direct.

Were they too warm? This was a cold greenhouse they were in, and were moved outside when about 3" high.
