Kick starting a plant?
« on: August 08, 2014, 09:12 »
Hi guys,

My courgette plants and runner beans have been under watered due to a holiday, and the beans have started to shrivel and the baby stage and go brown, and the courgettes have started to rot on the plant.

Is there any advice for kicking them back in to action?

The plants themselves look healthy enough
When weeding, the best way to know if its a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull it.

If it comes out easy, it was a valuable plant !

Remove any dead or manky looking stuff (technical term ) and give a liquid feed - dryness can cause mildew on courgettes earlier than they would otherwise cop for it so keep an eye open for that (the oldest leaves usually succumb first and can be taken off.)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Give a foliar feed. It gives far quicker results than feeding the roots.
