I have some strawberry plants in a small growbag which I cut back after they died.  Since the mild wheather they have all grown back but are now turning yellow/brown.  Is it OK to cut them back again and then cover in fleece or shall I leave them as they are.  I also have some runners I potted into small pots that have become little plants which I will put into another grownbag next year.  Again, they are going yellow, do I need to do anything with them?

What do you mean they had died do you mean stopped fruiting? Some strawberries are still flowering and fruiting up here. You'll be fine to cut them back again but wait until we get a few frosts.

Probably not getting enough water, am in East Anglia so rain is something we only see on the TV!  They haven't fruited again - maybe I should move!

The leaves do yellow as the plant dies back and can be removed or left on. I would leave them out to fend for themselves over the winter - no need for fleece or covering. Strawberries are very hardy plants - some of mine were frozen solid in pots for 2 weeks last year at minus 15 and they came back in the spring good and strong. Early in the new year when the last major cold snap is over, prepare them for when they wake up, potting on etc.

Or buy a watering can --- the plants will thank you for using it, and you'll have some strawberries next year too
