I just harvested a couple of Vivaldi spud plants of these that i planted some time back. These are WONDERFUL potatoes - especially stunning for roasting: have a real nuttyness and a hint of sweetness that makes for a truly outstanding roast spud.

Until now I have always succumbed to the cliches such as Maris Piper and King Edward for roasting but Vivaldi spuds trump these other varieties hands down!

Did you only just dig these jonajo? Mine were dug ages ago?...but I agree really really tasty spuds , but when I froze them on top of a shep's pie they had a funny texture.

yes - planted them back at start of August specifically for harvesting over the winter. Just perfect
