I think my basket is 12" and the other is a half shaped one against the wall that's a bit bigger. One plant in each. The plants got about 1' across and 2.5' hanging down. I lined each basket with plastic from a compost bag (no drainage holes) and buried a upside down plastic bottle in them with the end cut off so I could water easily, then covered the top with plastic to keep moisture in.

Sown indoors mid feb, planted out May, first ripe toms beginning June and they are still covered in red toms.

For flavour and quality of fruit I would recommend Sweet Million.

A close second would be tumbling tom for quantity and flavour.

Third place goes to Lidi - a yellow mini plum variety,  Beautiful sweet flavoured fruit and thousands of tomatoes that keep on coming - right into October for the past two years (In the greenhouse, that is)

I completely agree.  The Lidi has been surprisingly successful and the plant looks too small to sustain so many toms but it does!

Why does no-one ever mention or consider Ruby. A fabulous little cherry tomato. tastes wonderful, and prolific! Sold by Thompson and Morgan, has a horticultural merit of something or other too!  On a down side, I have noticed that they are prone to splitting, doesn't worry us though, they get eaten very quickly. My grandson comes round and picks and eats them by the handful! Hes only 5 years old, cant think of a better recommendation than that!
