My tomatoes are falling apart!!!!
« on: May 12, 2010, 11:21 »
I have:

Supersweet 100s, Tumbler, Gardener's Delight, Koralik and Marmand - Beefsteak tomatoes.

The lower leaves on the Marmande have started falling off all on their own.

At first I thought I was being clumsy and knocking the odd one off, but now it has effected them all, indoors on windows sills and out in the greenhouse. Now they all look like palm trees.

None of the other varieties is the same at all, they are all growing as usual.

Help!!

Is it just the first pair of leaves - the seed leaves - that are falling off?  Its fine for those to go when their job is done. Or is it the more mature proper tomato shaped leaves?

I don't think that "looking like a palm tree" is a good sign.

Too little light?

Too much, or too little, water?

Post too small? (are there lots of roots trying to come out of the bottom of the pot?)
