Just made up and bottled 4.25 litres of elderberry syrup/cordial.. just under 9 pints in old money.  Hopefully that will ward off coughs and colds this winter

I use Darina Allen's recipe, except I had no lemons and subsituted the juice of slightly fewer limes.

I made some last year, and jelly too.  Did not drink it a no one caught a cold!!  hope it has kept

It's lovely.. I would imagine it keeps very well, but it didn't get a chance last year!

As it was cooling I also made up some fig rum.. now that's something I'm really looking forward to trying..
