I am trying to clear the freezer as a friend has six blackthorn that are dripping in sloes and they need picking asap.  :blink:

You can wait a while. Sloes are best after the first frost and tend not to be too badly got by the birds so no need to rush.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Some of hers are going over already, had the same problem last year too. Mine are doing the same in my front hedge. Will bung them in the freezer to trick them  ;)
