We are looking at a rather nice polytunnel atm and I know our plot is 5 x 10 rods. I've tried googling but ended up  . Can anyone translate into metres or good old feet ?

a rod is 5 & half yards (16ft 6in)

5 rods = 82ft 6in, 10rods = 165 ft

Too old for metric

I was taught a rhyme at school about chains ,poles, perch,  rods and furlongs but cant remember how it went 

OH tell me it used to be on the back of exercise books with the tables.  We have some down in the work shop from OH school days, I'll have a look tomorrow

A rod, pole and perch are exactly the same.
