Size difference for mating.
« on: July 11, 2008, 23:52 »
Am having a dilemma. Worryingly starting to sound increasingly like all three of my 10 week ducklings are boys, even my beautiful Daisy (might have to rethink the name). Can really only keep one of them with my three girls and it makes sense that it is not the Campbell as he is the son of one of them and would like more ducklings next year (should be ok with one generation of inbreeding but would rather not if I can - have you been to Mansfield! ). The problem is that the others are bigger than the Campbell. How much is too big and will my girls be ok? Would like to keep the Cayuga/black. Do you think I will get pale green  ducklings?
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
