It works brilliantly on pots, my boyfriend's mum swears by it!  Her pot grown lettuces were 100% slug free when she used it last year... although that might just be because they were full after eating pretty much everything else in the garden.

Don't reckon it would work for anything planted in soil, because surely the slugs would just slime their way under it, the dratted things! :twisted:

Was wondering if you cut strips of the "Green Pot Scourers" that you can buy for washing up, that maybe the slugs and snails would really HATE sliding over that!   Used cut up copper pipe last year, quite effective but if a leaf grows outside the 'copper' area the slug is quick to find it and gain entry that way!!!   But guess that goes for the pot scourers too.
