copper wire around hanging basket chains to prevent slugs and snails

- came up with this idea to block the only route for slugs and snails to get onto my hanging baskets of strawberries.

AHA! I see you aren't the only person to get snails in their hanging baskets!  >:( Good idea! I get mine in my flower baskets and wondered if they have an extremely keen "smell detector" or how on earth (well - not quite on earth) do they know where they are?? I was thinking of using cut-off discs from milk cartons with serrated edges on the bracket. Maybe we can compare notes later on! (Shush - I will also use the blue bombers just in case)!  :tongue2:
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

They climb over my copper tape  :mad: and get to the top floor of the 4 shelf blowaway.... :nowink:
