Close call

We paid the lad next door to look after the hens and geese while we were away for a week. I told him not to let them out of the runs unless it was for the last hour of daylight and he was going to sit in the garden with them. Came back to find out he had let them loose in the garden all day, heard a commotion one afternoon, looked to see a large fox in the garden with them. He ran round quick and luckily it hadn't grabbed any. The girls had all legged it into their run but the cockerel was having a stand off with the fox. I'm very proud of my brave boy but not at all happy with my neighbour!

People just never listen do they! Atleast he told you though. Glad they'yre all okay, good old cockerel keeps the fox at bay 

He didn't mention what the geese were doing, probably hiding, Kevin's still a bit of a big girl's blouse, hopefully he'll toughen up in time
