Super - I eat a disturbing amount of bananas so I have lots of compost from them as well.  Do you just dig them in or scatter around?

Dunno    heard about it but never done it, I think you just leave 'em on the top.

i don't remember who on the forum gave me the tip   but did it last year , my roses were getting smaller blooms so after eating a sickening amount of bananas dug down the side of the rose popped it in and the next lot of roses were much improved and they seemed to last longer its worth a go .

Banana skins are better buried just under the surface or under any mulch, otherwise you'll need to fight off hordes of fruitflies. The soil contact will help them decompose faster. I use peels as well as alfalfa pellets, both of which are wonderful. Just be sure to water the pellets after sprinkling so you don't encourage vermin.
