Yes mine have just pooped through as well. I was beginning to think they hadn't germinated. Mine are undercover. Are yours?

Good afternoonn bayleaf,  mine were covered with about 3 - 4" of leaves directly after planting, now protected from the feline population and pidgeons by netting and with the chance of frost I'm going to dig ouit a bit of clear plastic.
Have broad beans ever been so moddy coddled! :D

Our winters in Lancashire are a bit harsher than yours in Wiltshire. I lost virtually the whole crop last year. Under polycarbonate sheets this year. :D :D

You need to move 6 miles to the west  :D :D :D
I always grow Sutton, temps aint the problem here its the wind!
I always sow mine same time as me chillies, once the kings have been.

Yes the seaside has its own microclimate. Starts around Peel Corner. I grow the Sutton as well but still lost them last year.
