Hello,

With the sowing season nearly upon us for tender bedding plants such as begonias, geranuims e.t.c I thought I would start this thread for anyone who is interested in growing them from seed as they are quite expensive in the garden centres.

I'm intending on buying Wilkinsons own brand as they are far cheaper than most, start off on a windowsil under a radiator indoors in a half size seed tray.

From what I gather you fill the seed tray ,water the compost scatter the seeds on top don't cover and just spray a bit of water on them and add a sheet of glass or plastic or just one of DD.'s inflated bags.

Last year I did try but I neglected them as I was busy with getting the greenhouse up and running and perhaps tried to pot them on way to early when I saw the ones in B&Q were flowering whilst mine were little seedlings at that was them on the compost heap !


Can anyone advise further ? An update from last year ? And any questions anyone may have ?

I don't have much of an idea mine failed last year Just bought my 2 packs of wilko begonias.

Just follow last years thread you should be ok 

I might just grow some myself this year as I forgot last. I'm going for plenty of colour in the garden so we'll see how we get on 
plus I've got to grow weeds  for my sons tortoise
