Parents are white.  Thought we were buying Emdens (sp? Late night here, too much vino collapso) but even Toulouse are just 'grey' and parents were just 'white', basically probably just mongrel whites.

I suspect your gosling is a little girl. She is quite dark from what I can see. Ganders are lighter grey, almost yellow.

That would be terrific, if she's a she we'll keep her as a pet and egg layer but if she's a he, possibly a 'table' bird.

Didnt know that about colouring.

I'll take some pictures of my two as adults tomorrow when I get home from work so you can tell the difference. Mary is a full Embden - quite slender neck & smaller nose, smaller build. Brendan is Embden/Toulouse (with specks of grey) alot more heavier built, bigger nose & thicker neck.  I've got some as babies & you can see Mary is darker than Brendan.

They ae beautiful birds, very very intelligent.
