Mrs G is a dab-hand at getting leaves raked in during the autumn, and has suggested (requested, ((ordered(((instructed)))) that we get a wheelbarrow which lies flat and the leaves can be raked straight in without using big hands etc!

Looking at the options, it seems that they are all made in China, and may take several years to appear!

Has anyone got one, or seen one for sale which might do the trick?

our maintenance man where I used to work (ex caretaker of the building - in his 80's) used to pick up leaves using two large flat boards to scoop them into the barrow, two dustpans might well do the same job.

and if you want posh, you can get those big plastic things that look like hands to do the same job!

I have seen a fold up wheelbarrow, but I think it was to fold out of the way when not using it.  Perhaps put a small tarpaulin down, rake the leaves onto that then fold it onto a wheelbarrow.  Leaves aren't very heavy are they?

hi i think the wheelbarrow youre thinking of is called the ASCENDER barrow it folds at the back near the handles laying the body on the floor a pull on the handles puts it back into position jezza
