Storing seed
« on: June 01, 2009, 08:35 »
Quick question I hope someone can help me with.

I've lots of spare seed,  what is the best way to store this for next year?  Do different types need treatment?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

I'm usually the messiest, disorganised person but with my seeds it's a different story  :)  I immediately reseal the little foil packet and outer packet with Scotch tape (keep it on a roll it's much less fiddly)  I keep my seed packets in a Tupperware container in the fridge. Most seeds are viable for years, but parsnip and sweetcorn are best sowed fresh
