thanks for the anchovy tip!  I tried using anchovy as a flavouring in a pasta sauce and now I use them for all sorts.

Grew some last year sowing in spring then again late summer-just polishing them off now. After overwintering both have produced flower shoots that are nice as an alternative to sprouting broccoli so 2 crops for one, thouh the late sowing has given the best yield of heads  .
As well as the previous mentioned cooking methods it is great cooked with blue cheese and walnuts. We also like lightly stir fried in pork fat -Yum!

Ours stood all winter and is still cropping -- great chopped into bean soup too
