chrysanths
« on: May 10, 2012, 20:24 »
My cuttings have been very slow on the uptake this year, but now they are getting going a bit. Most are fine, but some some seem very pale, almost yellow. The leaves also seem to be thick and brittle. Touch them and they tend to snap. Any ideas.

I think it is down to colder temperatures and a lot of rain

I only have two that have survived

I was wondering if there was anything I could give them to get them to green up a bit? Bi carb?

Keep them drier firstly

I think you might mean epsom salts, rather than bicarb, as this is often used to provide  magnesium to combat yellowing leaves.

it may be that this would help, but it might be also that just a good dose of somehting like miracle grow will do the job and give them the boost they need. Rain washes nutrients down quite fast
