hi just wondered if you can grow parsnips in tubs like carrots i dont mind if they are small and do you have to feed them?

I sowed mine in florist tubs last year and they gave me very sweet and tasty albeit small parsnips

I tried parsnips in a black bin this year, new seed germination rate 0  will try again next year, i have some florists bucket too and small sound great, infact any at all would be good

I've sown some that John recommended for small spaces/tubs.  I believe they may be called Arrow but I'm not sure.  Will have a furtle in my seed box later and let you know.  If I find them, you're welcome to the rest of the packet...

I've been growing snips in containers for the last 3 or 4 years with fantastic results. Best yield was 3kg from one  Morrisons flower bucket but 1 or 1.5kg is more usual. Currently have 7 lots growing away nicely. I'm not allowed to post links but if you search for therecycledgardener you can see how I do it.
