T & M Special Offer
« on: December 05, 2006, 19:24 »
Just been stock taking to see what seeds I want for next year and decided to have a browse on Thompson & Morgan's site.

They currently have an offer where if you spend £10 on seeds you get the MOST EXPENSIVE packet free. The opposite to most offers, where you get the cheapest free!

So, as cucumbers are amongst my needs next year, I've slapped an expensive packet in (£7.99 for 5 seeds) and got those free. Not only that, they've thrown in a packet of All Year Round Cauli, Falstaff Brussels & Khol Rabi free!

Off now to buy another tenners worth & see what I can wrangle this time!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I've put in another order & discovered that your expensive packet is counted as part of the £10 - you don't have to put in an order for a tenner's worth on top!

So, you can order a packet for £7.99, find one that's just over 2 quid and all you pay with postage (£1.49), is £3 something.

Off again!!

I wish - even betrayed by the wife. She returned home with some T&M kids seeds for the nephews (sid the snake or something). Mind you, I couldn't find them on the T&M site.

Might get an oily rag off me if you play your cards right. Us greenhouse fanatics have to stick together.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

LOL - a whole rag, thank you so much - the wealth of you southern people :)

Just found out that suttons have altered their site so none of the links in the seed section to them work.  Only took me a day to set that lot up <sigh>

Think I'd best concentrate on the paying work if I'm to get a tin of beans, never mind a mercedes rotovator.

I reckon T&M are very good - I've never been dissapointed with them or had poor germination.

I'm coming to the opinion that bargain seeds are often not worth it. The effort  that goes into growing is too much to waste on poor varieties, if that makes sense. But bargains are hard to resist!

That'll teach you to be posh - RHS Wisley

You never can tell - it's a real no no to plant supermarket spuds but it worked for me a couple of years ago,
