Any early or second early tats that can be left in a bit longer for bigger tats, I think charlotte tats seem to get a lot bigger when left longer than you should.  As long as no blight.

If I cut of the hallums and leave in the ground will they continue to grow.

Someone told me duke of york keep well the white ones not red but not sure if he meant in a sack picked or in the ground.

I don't know the answer to your first question but I'm sure someone will. However I left Red Duke of York in the ground too long last year and the skin was really tough and horrid

Charlottes are surprisingly tolerable to a lot of the potatoe troubles.  Last year I never got round to digging them up until well after the haulms had died back (naturally, not blight!) and were bleach white     There were a few big spuds but most seemed about average size and just as nice as those dug up earlier.  The skins are not really tough, but because they are left longer in the ground they will store better
Failure is only a temporary change in direction to set you straight for your next success.

Good cos I intend to do charlottes as last year.  Got such a great yield from them, unlike the Lady christyl I grew.

I dug the rest of my 2007 Charlottes up in March 2008 and they were ok ... not to be recommended as good practice though :!:
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
