My little chicken is poorly and i don't know whats wrong with her. Yesterday when I let the chooks out she didn't come out, when I looked she was fluffed up and looking very sorry for herself. Her comb has flopped over and is blue at the end.

I don't know how long she's been like this: haven't let her out all week because I leave for work before it gets light. My hubby has been doing it and he says he hasn't noticed her before.

She doesn't appear to be straining to pass an egg but she hasn't laid all week which is very out of character for her. Her poo is slimy green, although she has tried to eat a bit this morning.

Does anyone know what could be wrong with her or what I could do? She has been wormed and flea'ed.

Get her to the vet is what I would do. Fluffing up can be a sign of many hings, as can slimy poo, but I've never heard of blue tinged comb. A vet will know more, so take her there  Hope she recovers well!!

the blue tinge to the comb can indicate a lack of oxygen reaching her extremities. I would get her to a vet ASAP to see if it is her heart. When was she last wormed? What wormer did you use. How old is she and what breed.
