Brassicas
« on: September 10, 2007, 15:12 »
Hi
I took on a badly kept garden as most of us do I have cleared it all and dug it all over but this season (my first) I have been able to successfully grow ant type of brasica's of any sort. The white cabbage was rubbish no head. The Savoy again no head and cauliflowers are rubbish also and the broccoli has bolted and gone to seed.
I have been told that the ground is to loose as I have dug it over then planted.

Any ideas for next year

Jim

Yep they talkin rubbish follow Muntjacs advice and you won't go far wrong, I've had pretty much the same this year it's down to the weather.

Don't pull up the Savoys yet - they may well still form heads.
