I planted a few bulbs of garlic ( Thermistor ? ) about 10 days ago and they have sprouted about 2 inches already ! I thought this was a good time to plant but obviously the warm weather has set them off. Will they be ok to overwinter ? Cheerz

Yes, they're extremely hardy and will stay green even with snow piled on top. They originate from Siberia so that should speak volumes.

Iv'e planted Thermidrome for the past two years and a v. good results. Even a first in the local veg show. I plant them on Halloween - an auspicious day I think, what with all the ghoulie and ghostie connections.  As I am on clay I build then up onto gritty ridges and just give a bit of frost protection as we are in a deep frost pocket.  Hey presto! they look after themselves.
