ive got 3 rows of potatoes that i bought from wilkinsons but forget what potaotes they are apart from one is deseree
anyway they were early's second early's and main crop all planted about a week apart and the main  crop seem to be way ahead of the rest and flowered bout a week ago???

The flowering of the plant is not really an indication of the maturity of the spud. It's used as a guide only as to when early ones would be large enough to eat as a 'new potato', but these are lifted before maturity.

Main crop potatoes, (lates), have a longer growing season and are only mature for lifting & storing once the foliage has died down, earlies are generally used before this stage.

As mentioned in other threads, you won't even see flowers on some spuds. If you planted about April time, I'd have a scratch around under the foliage of one of your early spuds & see what's there, or maybe be so bold as to dig a root. Most folk who planted around this time will be getting through their earlies now.
