Actual seed germination times
« on: March 13, 2011, 12:01 »
There is information available "out there" as well as in the main part of this site about average seed germination times.

Thought it might be of interest to some guests and members to find out what we actually manage to achieve in practice.

Quite early in the year yet for many crops (?!) but here's my list so far:

Onions (Sweet Spanish Yellow): 9 days
Leeks (Musselburgh): 7 days
Chilli pepper (Cayenne): 15 days

(All sow indoors, un-chitted, unheated, but covered in clingfilm.)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older
