Well were well into summer now and notice some people down our end are ripening their onions. So I thought I would check on those of you who are comparing the moon plantings to the normal chuck em see method, any good or just some crack pot method??

Well, I can honestly say that my moon planted seeds died just as easily as my non moon planted seeds!

My moon planted leek seedlings aren't as big as the ones i planted a couple of weeks after either!

So I think I'm back to the chuck em in and see what happens brigade!!!

Think deep down ( not that deep for some) we expected it to flop.

Exactly.  A lunar-tic idea.  However, each to their own.  Maybe an experiment will come along and eclipse all the others, or bring out the dark side.  I'm sure this argument won't go away though, just wax and wane.

But there are people who swear by it aren't there?  there was that lady on the Big Dig and the other week on Digging for Victory.  They said planting by the moon was great, or was it just a coincidence that their moon planted stuff did well???

Anyway, never mind, back to the traditional ways!!!

This argument could run and run, but I don't think it should on here.  We have been down this path before and gotten no-where.  I think it's lunacy (tee hee), but others don't.  What I have come to learn over the last couple of years gardening is that how we do it, why we do it and when are irrelevant.  The important thing is that we enjoy our triumphs and learn from our mistakes.

Disclaimer.  The above opinion may have come about as the result of intoxication and a general sense of an unnatural bonhomie.  Please disregard.
