Hi all,

I inherited strawbs on my plot that were almost as vigorous as the spreading buttercup I was also gifted. For various reasons I had trouble getting decent crop from them last year and then had to move from the half plot where they were planted to my new spot - so I tried digging up the best of them and put them into big pots whilst I cleared my new plot. About 50% of the potted plants (maybe 20 or so) are stuggling - so I've decided that a dedicated bed is the way forward.
Seems like a good time to 'start afresh' - so I'm looking for suggestions about best taste/crop. I generally grow from seed so I guess that should mean the number of varieties I should be able to get hold of should be fairly numerous. I've fairly recently planted out 10 alpines that I grew from seed so (unlike aubergine and melons) I've had some success at growing from scratch. (Though alpines are rather different to regular strawberries I guess bringing them on from seed is much the same)
