hi im new to the forum but i hope you can help me.... iv got four chickens and the one we call the bully as attacked one of the  other chickens and caused  a deep wound on her lower back.... I have treat the wound with dry wound powder to stop the bleeding  and have made a cover to hide the wound from the other chickens .. How long should i keep her away from the others as i dont want her to come to any more harm... P.s the bully chicken even peck,s the dog she is  a real bully  all the other chickens are very wary of her :roll:

Welcome to the forums. It's probably a good idea to repost this question on the poultry forum (The Hen House). The injury sounds like the damage done by a cockerel's spurs. :?
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

I personally would put purple spray on the wound. (purple spray is anti septic and colours everything purple). Chickens are attracted to the colour red.  I would as long as she can move well enough put her straight back with the others.  

Where can you get purple spray from? If you know anyone horsey ask them.  Or try your local feed merchant.
