Anyone got any good tips? I guess i need to start of easy...

I saw this on the UKTV site which is helpful too http://uktv.co.uk/index.cfm/uktv/Gardens.homepage/sid/6151

Hi ruth & welcome to our forum.

Have a read & you will learn much here.  Try the infomation link near top of page.  There is also a search facility which is very useful when you get the hang of it.   But do ask about anything which you don't understand.

Oh ... nearly forgot ... try the  Glossary of Terms in the Welcome forum for help in picking up the lingo.

Hi welcome to the site.Do you have a garden, lottie, containers? For starters, before it gets too warm, get some mixed leaf salad leaves into a pot,the seeds grow quickly and you will have the pleasure of passing the expensive washed in who knows what packets  in the super market and picking your own by the back door. There are lots of suggestions for starting out on the site or just join the chat.

Hello Ruth, welcome to the forum. Loads of good gardeners who are more than happy to help on here, so look no further and let us lead you up the garden path

Radish are easy, quick and will go lovely with those salad leaves you are about to sow
