Liquid smoke
« on: June 03, 2009, 00:14 »
I've tried using this to make a barbecue sauce and am very pleased with the result.

It's not a chemical, it's actual smoke filtered through water and bottled.  My chicken wings were fantastic after being marinated for 24 hours in my secret sauce.  :)

Has anyone else used it?
Cheese makes everything better.

I've never seen it for slae, tho would be interested to find some, as I love the taste of smoke. Do you mind me asking where you got it from Ice?

I've got a stove top smoker, but its a lot of hassel to try to use it for the odd chicken breast

I got it online from something like the American candy company, based in the UK.  Others do it as well.

I use it, mostly for a shrimp & barley soup I make. Adds a lovely back flavour.
