hello and welcome, why not nip over to our welcome section and introduce yourself to everybody  :).
This thread is several years old but just to point out it depends on the breed as to how long and how frequently. All hens are hatched with a set amount of eggs (they are all linked together on what looks like a ribbon) and those that are bred to lay every day for a couple of years will use their supply up quicker. Also if a hen is one that lays double yolkers frequently then this hen will use their supply quicker.
