Broody and lice
« on: August 15, 2009, 09:08 »
Hi,

When we moved the broody out of the nest to poop etc yesterday I checked her over for mites etc and noticed she has a small amount of lice on her fluffy knickers. All the other chooks have been powder puffed recently with eradicate and the coop sprayed with poultry shield, her coop was done before she and the eggs went in there. Is it ok to powder her  while she's still sitting?

Better to get rid of them now before the chicks hatch and they attach themselves to the chicks.
