sex of hybrid chicks

my hybrid chicks are 5 weks old now, i have had them since 1 day old having come from a hatchery as sexed females. i am a bit worried about the size of the cuckoo maran comb it is a big bigger than the sussex white and columbian black tails, you can hardly see theirs. both the marans are the same so hopefully i cant be that unlucky to have 2 males. sorry i cant post a photo as the size is too big and not sure how to reduce it.

i am really confused i hve just read on teh internet that the male is lighter than the female on colour, help.

Hi its a shame your  cuckoo marans are the same colour but if this is any help the cockbird  is darker than the hen he is a sort of slate grey - background colour,  whereas the hen has a light grey background colour, perhaps if you google it you will find a picture to compare with.
