The first suspected case has been reported in the L39 (Ormskirk) area.

There is no case for panic as yet! This is an isolated case and as yet is unconfirmed.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

And you were up reporting this before ten-to-five DD!

This is way beyond the call of duty, and thank you!

At least our cats don't disturb us before 7am!
And we've learnt to ignore them until at least 8!

Back on topic....

While she might be a nuisance when people are retiring, our cat never wakes people up in the morning, unless her bowl is empty.
Not only that, now she's all Summered up, we hardly see her, as she camps out in the trees looking to get the life she wishes she led through the Winter.
However, I've given her the link to DD's blightwatch and instructions on being bleeped. So, I'm now fully covered should the balloon go up. Every second counts :)

I note that that dot has turned green. Blight not detected.

It's safe to come out now!

I'm only 6 miles from Ormskirk and it hasn't been warm enough or anywhere near humid enough for a Smith Period yet, thank goodness. Last year was bad and the farmers (and me) lost almost all our potato crops to blight  :(

I'm so paranoid about it that I check Blightwatch a couple of times a day!  :)

We had a blight warning at the weekend so everyone was out spraying like mad - we are surrounded by large farms which are all set in potatoes this year so no one wants to risk it.

Yes, we had that one day as well but my plants were barely showing then and it didn't become a full Smith period  :)
