Lunar planting

I have heard about planting by the phases of the moon, has anyone tried it and does it seem to make a difference?

Also can anyone tell me the best dates to plant main crop potatoes?!

Main crops can go in now - the term 'main crop' indicates how long they take to get to maturity, rather than when you plant.

As for lunar planting, this has been discussed several times before on here - suggest you try a forum search.

From experience, threads about it can rapidly descend into arguments so just a general warning to all to keep replies friendly and light-touch, please
