From my limited (by that I mean I can't be bothered to try again with Christmas spuds) I wouldn't worry to much about feeding, if so maybe something highish in phosphorus to produce the roots and tubers, when I tried I had loads of top growth with 6 potsy spuds in the bucket.

I left one in the large pot by accident and it is healthly growing away, if I knew it was this easy  I would have done it before.  What happens though if there is a frost.  Its outside.

The frost will probably kill it depending how hard the frost was, as I mentioned in my earlier post, the result was not worth the effort for me, they grew fine with loads of good healthy top growth but a few little spuds in the base. I suppose they will keep you occupied on these colder darker nights.
