Duo fruit trees at lidl on Thursday
« on: April 30, 2013, 10:19 »
Just had the flyer through and they have coming in duo fruit trees on trellis, I think it's apple and pear or cherry and plum. £19.99

Very tempted but seriously don't know where on earth I would pop it.  :nowink: wonder if I could train it up the front of the house, bit tempting for passer bys though

The duo trees, that BQ mentions, are always more expensive - cos they have to graft 2 cultivars on the same trunk.
Mikem mentions small single trees - It doesn't look like the same offer to me

The trouble with supermarket-sold trees is that frequently they have no information on the rootstock and thus the eventual size of the trees.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

No real info on them but our ones in our local lidl are five foot plus and look very good, I am pondering where to put one or two.
