The RHS says
Quote
Acetamiprid (e.g. Bug Clear Ultra and Rose Clear Ultra). In addition to ornamental plants Bug Clear Ultra products can be used on  apple, pear, cherry, plum,  potato, lettuce, and glasshouse tomato, pepper and aubergine
https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=181

So not on gooseberries, according to them.

The back label should list all the plants that can be sprayed.

What are you spraying for on your gooseberries?

If it's aphids I would use soap, if it's sawfly I used to pick them off by hand and drop them in water, I usually picked the leaf they're on as you invariably find more than one on a leaf. I planted some spare garlic bulbs under my gooseberries about three or four years ago and never harvested them, they're still growing but just like little clumps of grass which I now divide each year. I have not had sawfly on the gooseberries since I planted them.

that is very odd - lavender is a natural "insecticide" already and I've never seen anything attack it before.  Besides, I'd be concerned especially when flowering as lavender attracks loads of bees and beneficial insects.

Is this Friday okay to use on gooseberry bushes

are your gooseberries in flower?  then the answer would be no as you'll kill off pollinating insects and bees including bumble bees that come to visit.  whatever you use to spray, perhaps wait until after the flowering so that you don't risk harming beneficial insects

if it's sawfly I used to pick them off by hand and drop them in water

you must have good eyesight LOL because I could never see them but the stripped foliage/damage was clearly sawfly.

The greenfly on the gooseberries is easily dealt with a soap spray like Trikidiki suggests.  You can buy it, or make your own with a small squirt of washing-up liquid in a spray bottle of water.

Caterpillars are a pain as they can eat a lot of plant before a spray gets them.  You could squish them.  Wear gloves if you are squeamish   :)

The sawfly caterpillars aren't that small, or is your eyesight that bad?  ;)

I grow my gooseberries as espaliers and fans, it is easy to see what is going on. When they are grown as a bush the sawfly prefers to be in the centre where there is less air movement so by the time you notice them they have done the damage and probably dropped off to pupate.

Could be anything from stocking problem to some EU ruling.. if you can't find it elsewhere I'd suggest a look at this - SB Invigorator which Medwyn recommended to me.

Washing up liquid will work but can be a bit harsh and can cause damage to the plant tissue.

Lots of Horticultural Soap or Insecticidal Soap on ebay. Soap flakes are available on Amazon.
