Maincrop Tatties
« on: April 05, 2009, 20:38 »
I've finished putting in my first and second earlies this w/e
Wondering when  to put in maincrop - have got Lady Balfour (early main), Sarpo Axona (main) and Cara (late main) to plant.
Anyone got their maincrop in yet?
If at first you don't succeed..... cheat!

The reference to early / second early / maincrop refers to how long they take to mature, not to when they are planted.

Get 'em in now  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Never quite sure how this "Good Friday" planting yard-stick works, since the date can vary by a month or so!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
