As my green manure did not germinate properly I feel my allotment may need a bit of nourishment after the hard winter. I do have access to well rotted chicken manure. As I will be planting out in the next month or so would it be wise to dig in manure now or is it too late. Any opintions on chicken manure generally are more than welcome. Thanks.

Well I'd use it rather than adding nothing. It is rather strong so a little goes a long way. I wouldn't be sowing seeds in it

I expect most of us use the pelleted chicken manure and I always add a handfull when planting. Try Googling chicken manure, there are a number of sites on how to use the real stuff. Since yours is well rotted you can use it straight away, but if you have a small amount you may wish to add it to the compost heap.

if its well rotted,get it well dug in mate!!.i dug in about 3 bag fulls per 3ft by 20ft beds.i even used fresh manure on my sweet corn bed and they grew brill.but dont put it on brassica beds if you have already limed.
