I have recently recived my sweet pea flowers for sowing in autum and it says on he pack to leave in warm water over night.Can anybody tell me why and is it required.does anyone else do this ? They are Thompson and Morgans by the way

Helps the water get through the tough seed coat, some people cut a nick in the seed or file a little off, but it all does the same job. Speeds up germination time so less chance of them rotting

Very little they are quite hardy, I'd just try to keep them frost free, but don't let them get too warm or dry out.
