Wondering if I can help someone out..

I have just collected some hens from a free range farm that is having to close due to financial pressure.  The hens that are unsold will go to slaughter on 1st March.  They are selling them for £3 - year old hy-line layers, near Silverstone.  THe girls I have picked up are lovely and laying after 2 hours!

Hello Old speckled hen and welcome, thanks for that information. Why not nip over to our welcome section and introduce yourself to everybody.

As you will see in our site policies we have a strict no selling rule but we do have the classified section which is free to individuals and as this is a good cause can be placed on there. The more places we can advertise these birds the better. Lots of us on here have rescue birds  .

Jaspertilly have you been in touch with Little Hen Rescue in Norwich - they may be able to help out?
