What chickens
« on: June 01, 2016, 22:05 »
Hello, I'm new to this forum, trying to decide on what chickens to have, I would like a fair amount of eggs, and good personalities,  kind and take well to handling. They will be kept in a run whilst I am in work and then with me in the garden and I would like to be able to sit and relax with them as company. I really fancy a Cochin, Black rocks, Barred Plymouth rocks and Bluebells, I am very open to suggestions, I am looking to have about 6.  I live in Gwent and think it's going to be difficult to find a Cochin, looking for Point of lay's.  I hope to be able to buy them towards the middle to end of July as should have everything set up by then.

Someone I know has chickens for the colour of the eggs only, a very bright almost rainbow looking egg box, but it looks fantastic with blur green brown white eggs
