Do you have a pidture, Rotiller made several machines.
always have a target
and an objective.

also am i right in thinking its a rototiller and not a rotiller?

its got metal wheels with lugs on and has something on the fron of the engine to attach things like chippers (so he told me)

I expect its a 30 also called a simar junior. It will have a single tube up to the handle bars with a large are filter on it. Probably green with cowling over the engine. The monro was from the same stable. £89 in 1937
Two speed box 16:1 petrol and lucas magneto on a  simar engine. Petrol tank should take a amazing 4 gallons

i found a couple of pics and i thought the 30 looked somewhere right!

is it worth having??

the bloke said as its got s hooks and not tines it would be great for clawing out the twitch roots

I have never seen one, or spares.
Its old now for daily use. It was the rolls royce in its day and would make a nice winter prodject especially if its free.

Sounds similar to what we used to call walking tractors. In shape, etc it somewhat resembles a rotovator (called rototiller here) but the back part could interchange pieces like a tractor: discs, harrows and plough. Sounds like yours has just the spring harrows. They were well built and tough, and old.

There was a much bigger one called a 50 which was a two wheeled tractor with rubber tyres, as you say Trillium, with all the toys

At that time engines were rare and most equipment was still belt driven so they would run allsorts off any drive or pulley they could find. Saw benches were a popular one.
