Lovage
« on: February 27, 2013, 07:28 »
Hi

I have a new allotment and am preparing a herb bed on it.  I have some lovage that has been growing in my garden.  I would like to move it to the allotment and am just wondering if it is the correct time of year?  Or will i harm it by moving it?

Thanks in advance
Michelle

I've heard that it doesn't much like being moved, but I've grown it before and found it absolutely bomb-proof, in fact really hard to get rid of once it has grown in a particular spot. I'd say early spring is an ideal time to try moving it. :)

thanks very much for your reply, will leave it for another 2 or 3 weeks and then try and move it.
