I hope it drains as fast as it came.

the river at the back of our allotment flooded our gardens with five foot of water I managed to save 25 chickens and two cocks just in time before a wave took all the fences down and took me with it' trying to swim with wellies on  is not a good idea.
I got out ok allthough I was soaked so I walked up the road to the local pub and sank a few pints before I went home for a hot bath.

Oh my goodness! Glad you are ok and like you say I hope it drains quickly for you too.
Gained an allotment on the 19th June 08, 135ft by 40ft! eekk. Finally after 4 years it is looking like an allotment and not a jungle

We have 5 lovely hens in the garden, fish, 2 dogs and 2 canaries

Oh no! Glad you managed to rescue the chicks. (You can't see any weeds!). I feel so sorry for those whose plots flood. The weather is hard enough to deal with, without the flooding. I do hope that you don't lose too many crops. :(

I know runners like a lot of water, but that is ridiculous...Hope it goes away soon and next year is better. Best wishes.
